Treasure hunt. I found this bike outside the little Ryokan I was staying at in Takayama last Fall as I started my day. Pink, brown and white is one of my favorite color combinations so it was cool to find this. Walking the streets of a new city and finding gems like this is what I love most about traveling.

Pick Up at Bloom
September 28, 2010

New Print Pick Up. I just picked up a new print from my friend Nat at Bloom Screen Printing. It’s a one color print that I’ll hand color with pigment. The print is from a new series I’m working on and will be in a group show next week in New York. The show is called RE:Form School and is opening October 9th. It’s for a super great cause, reforming our public education system. To learn more about the RE:Form School show check out their website here.

Exploring the forest. I took this image on one of my train riding adventures where I road the train to the end of the line to see what might be out there. This trip was really great because the end of the line was in the forest. It was super quite and really peaceful out here so I walked through the forest back to the next stop. I thought this was a great last image to end on from my time in Sweden because I really like how the tracks cut through the image and make me wonder whats around the corner. Stockholm was an amazing place to explore and live in. I can’t wait to go back and explore some more.

For Herman Miller
September 12, 2010

Design for You. I recently was asked to be apart of a project with Herman Miller where I had the chance to customize an Eames rocker. I met up with four other artists in LA where we all painted our chairs live. To learn more about the project, see my rocker and enter to win it go here. For a behind the scenes video go here.
