Studio Interview. A few weeks ago Dave from Grain Edit stopped by the studio for a visit. We hung out for awhile and talked about design and design books for a few hours. It was great. I really love vintage design books and Dave is the master at finding them. Check out the studio visit here on Grain Edit. You can also get involved with their great holiday giveaway too. Thanks Dave!
GR-SF Print Show. I’m really stoked to be in this new group show at GR-SF. You can check out my print (from the post below) there this Saturday, December 5th. I believe they should be online at some point as well.
New Serigraphs. Shortly before I left to Japan I was asked by GR-SF to be apart of a print show with them in December. The night before I took off I handed my art off to my friend Nat who runs Bloom Screen Printing and when I got back he had done this rad setup in his store front with my prints. I really dig the torn overlays. The design was printed in an edition of 15 per colorway (pink or purple).
More for December. In addition to the two Kokeshi for the December Store update there are four new t-shirt designs being added as well. All the designs were printed in a limited run of 5 per size. Bringing the total to only 10 shirts per design.
December Editions. This is Big Guy (BG1), the first in a new series of big Kokeshi I plan to make. I made Big Guy to take with me to Japan. This is a shot of him in Takayama. In addition to Big Guy I’ll be starting to add a select few smaller Kokeshi in the coming months to the store too. The December Store update kicks it off by offering a big and small Kokeshi.
