Downtown Apartment. This is another image from the apartment I stayed in while living in Stockholm. It was a secondhand contract, meaning sublet from the original tenant, so it was fully furnished. If you are lucky enough to be the holder of a firsthand contract in Stockholm you are set. You will never have to leave your apartment ever. It is so hard to evict someone in Stockholm. So much so, firsthand contracts have a black market and get traded or sold or they just stay in the family for years. I was lucky enough to stay here for six months.

Surrounded by Water. Stockholm is so amazing. It is surrounded by so much water and trees it is the perfect balance between nature and city. This image was taken in the middle of winter from a little island across from Gröna Lund. I was on my way to go see a retrospective show of Andy Warhol on Djurgården and the skies cleared for a bit so I took a boat bus out to take this picture quickly before it started to snow again.

End of the Line. When I was living is Stockholm I really liked riding the subway. One day I decided that it would be great to see the different parts of Stockholm by taking all the different subway lines out to their last stops. I spotted this apartment building on one such trip right after a nice snow fall. I was really into this building because you don’t see much graffiti like this around the city. There’s tagging going on in the city and on most subway trains but once you get outside of the city the bigger stuff starts popping up a lot more.

Snowy Bananas. I was so happy I decided to take my camera out with me this day. I was on my way to an art museum in Stockholm that is out in a shipping yard when I found these great yellow banana trucks in the snow.

Winter Colors. I would walk by this parking lot whenever I would go catch a bus on Lidingö heading to the subway. I kept noticing the colors of the cars that parked here and thought it would be an interesting image. I really like the neutral pallet of this scene and the little areas of bright colors.
