People. When I take pictures I tend to leave people out of them. But as time has passed I’ve started to like the random things you can capture people doing. I really liked how this guy came and sat down right in front of me and started to clean his binoculars. It was so unexpected. This is in front of a really old tea house in the hills of Arashiyama.
More Fall Leaves. It’s three years in a row now that I’ve gone and seen the Fall leaves in Japan. This year was the most vibrant of the trips too. The trees were on fire and the rock formation with it’s shrine, carved out steps and caves were awesome. This place in Yamanaka was really amazing.
Treasure hunt. I found this bike outside the little Ryokan I was staying at in Takayama last Fall as I started my day. Pink, brown and white is one of my favorite color combinations so it was cool to find this. Walking the streets of a new city and finding gems like this is what I love most about traveling.
Exploring the forest. I took this image on one of my train riding adventures where I road the train to the end of the line to see what might be out there. This trip was really great because the end of the line was in the forest. It was super quite and really peaceful out here so I walked through the forest back to the next stop. I thought this was a great last image to end on from my time in Sweden because I really like how the tracks cut through the image and make me wonder whats around the corner. Stockholm was an amazing place to explore and live in. I can’t wait to go back and explore some more.
Diagonal Balance. I really like the arrangements of things in peoples homes. It’s fun to see what people like to collect and how they display them. I really liked the painting in this picture and the composition happening with the mirrors and lamp. I also like the white on white with the pops of color happen too. I took this right before I left Norrmalm in Stockholm to move to Lidingö another big island in Stockholm.
