Vertical Living. I’ve not been into to many apartment buildings in Stockholm. But for the few that I have, they all had great courtyards or lots of space around them so that nature is still close by. That was the feeling I got when I was there. Also a lot of them have fun little playgrounds. I really liked the ship in this playground.
Frozen. I love the stillness of photographs taken at night. This was taken on Lidingö.
Pink night. Short days and dark nights in Stockholm left me only one thing to do in the winter, lots of night photography. I really like shooting at night. There’s a great color pallet that you just don’t see with your eyes but comes out on film. Plus it’s such a great thing to pick up your negatives from the processor to see how your five minute exposure turned out. This was taken really late on Lidingö.
Super cool. I really love the colors of winter. This was taken right after a fresh snowfall in Lidingö.
Drying Closet. This is the best laundromat I’ve ever been to. It was a private laundry room in an apartment building I lived in in Stockholm. All you had to do was buy a card to access the room for a certain amount of time, reserve a time to use the room and it was all yours. No extra cost for using the washing machines or dyers. The best thing I saw in Swedish laundry rooms was the drying closet. That’s them in the back. You hang your clothes in them and they air dry to warm air so nothing shrinks, so great. The colors in here were awesome too! And it was so clean.
