Apartment House. This is the living room of the apartment I stayed in while living in Stockholm. The apartment was really amazing. It was the size of a house with 12″ ceilings but in a building on the third floor and was fully furnished. It was crazy to me how big it was. I’d never lived in an apartment like that before. It was really awesome living here. The other amazing thing too was how much daylight this place got, I loved it.
Pillow Talk is a quick little stop motion experiment I thought to do while I was taking pictures of Pillow Head to show here on the news page. To add to the experiment I animated the entire piece in Illustrator frame by frame and only used After Effects to output the sequence as a movie.
I’m also really stoked to have been able to collaborate with Chaz Windus of Blazing Lazer to make the music for my animation. I passed off the animation to Chaz to check out and he sent it back with an awesome track perfectly timed! I love the way it sounds and the title he gave it too ‘Pillow Talk’, Thanks Chaz!
February Store Update. I’m really excited to release my first limited edition pillow as well as another Kokeshi in the February Store update. Pillow Head is limited to 10 pillows and is the first in a series of new things I’ll be doing with fabric. Get ready for the year of fabric!
Strange Perspective. I took this photo on Söder as I was exploring the streets to learn more about the area. I took this picture because of how nicely the buildings lined up with one another in the curve of the road giving the street a funny perspective. At least to my eye that area goes between looking normal to looking flat and losing its depth because I can’t see around the corner. I love the old buildings in Stockholm.
