A Flat Perspective

Attention to Detail. The attention to detail at this temple in Koyasan is incredible. So much love and amazing craftsmanship went into making Kongobuji. It is such an amazing place to go to. The wood carvings are so amazingly detailed. The dragon in the picture is such an awesome piece of craftsmanship. The whole temple in fact is crazy. It has so many beautifully painted screens inside and the gardens that are on the backside are awesome too.

Water, Tea, Soda. All the essential things you need to drink in a day. I never get tired of seeing soda machines around Japan. They are super colorful and it’s fun to check each one out to see what they have. I love it when I see something new to try.

Put a cork in it. I was asked to be apart of the San Francisco AIGA’s Fall Gala this last year. The theme was ‘Put a cork in it’ and designers where asked to design a wine label for Clos Du Val. This is a picture of the design I submitted. The hand and arm continue to wrap around the backside of the bottle. The arm also has a few lines of copy and the Clos Du Val logo on it which knock out to the bottle color.
